The 2021 Iowa Governor’s Charity Steer Show to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities set a new record this year and leading the way was Iowa 4-H member, Owen Powell and his steer Chuck. Chuck raised $5,000 at the live auction with Powell’s family and community contributing another $42,600. In addition to raising funds, Powell also donated over 100 pounds of pop tabs and over 3,000 non-perishable items to his local Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City. Congratulations to Powell and all of the exhibitors on using your experiences showing livestock to IOWA GOVERNOR'S CHARITY STEER SHOW BREAKS RECORD
Jordan is currently a student at the University of Wyoming Majoring in Animal & Veterinary Science with a concentration in Preveterinary Medicine and a minor in Agricultural Business.
