another. Having patience means that you are not focusing on the short-term, but instead you have faith in what will come if you keep working and trying. It means that you have faith in the person or thing that’s testing your patience. When we pray for something and don’t get it right away, it means that we have faith in God that our prayers will be answered according to His will and in His timing. It seems like in today’s world, we’re always in a hurry and we when we want something, we want it now. The Bible tells us in Romans 8:25 “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” If we think about how often we test God’s patience, it’s easier for us to be more understanding and less anxious toward others that are testing our patience. Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is 1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” Patience is at the very top of the list. We cannot love, if we don’t learn how to be patient with one
