My dad always said “team work makes the dream work” and boy was he right! As I take time to reflect on the Wisconsin State Fair I am speechless and cannot put into words how to describe this feeling. Being able to exhibit the Grand Champion steer not only once, but doing it again is such a surreal feeling. As we were looking at cattle at Brandon Jones and Todd Caldwell’s

my dad and I saw these two steers. One being a full brother to my steer in 2020, and one being a full brother to my steer “Ghost” in 2017, who went on to be Reserve Grand Champion at the Wisconsin State Fair. The full brother to my steer in 2020 had a #4 ear tag. The #4 ear tag was the same number ear tag my steer “Brett” had. He was then later Grand Champion at the Wisconsin state fair in 2016. My dad and I didn’t know at the

time but Brandon and Ernie (Jerryd Ehrnthaller) bet on the full brother in 2020 with the #4 ear tag to try and persuade us into the 2020 brother. He was washed, and clipped better than ever! While Todd bet on the full brother on my 2017 steer “Ghost”. As we kept looking at cattle, we saw my steer “Snoop”. I instantly fell in love with him.
