showing her and started putting her in the cooler for the Iowa State Fair. This consisted of many early mornings and late nights, even after softball games. It was a group effort on my family's part, with getting chores done, exercising the animals, feeding all the show stock, and doing general maintenance around the barn. It is truly an exhilarating feeling when you are fortunate enough to end up in the final drive at one of the toughest state fairs in the United States. And as Mr. Fitzgerald said, you would have to look long and hard to have as competitive of a division as the Market Heifer Division. This has been a lifelong goal for my family and I for so many years. We had

worked countless hours in the barn for this moment, so being able to reach it was truly something special. Not only did Molly receive Champion Market Heifer in the 4-H show, but my Commercial Breeding Gilt also received Reserve Overall in the FFA show. It had been quite a week! I am blessed with the amount of support I have in my life. I would like to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to show livestock, my brother Cole for all the help he has provided me, Mitch Daake for raising my heifer, and Phil Halbach and Troy Klimesh for selling me my heifer. Without you guys, this would not have been possible! •
