(while we were a little biased), we thought she looked the best she had ever looked. Dressed and ready, we were all speechless, our little baby Buckles was all grown up. After being selected to win the Angus show I think I blacked out, I remember just wanting to hug my people. We all wanted
this so bad and when it paid off, it paid off big time. Preparing for the final drive brought a new wave of excitement over our crew, we had a blast getting her ready and we knew she looked the part. We headed up to the ring and everyone was just so excited, we really didn’t have any expectations for
the drive we were just thankful for the opportunity to be out there. We lined up and then as I hit that soft dirt it felt so surreal. I had walked in that drive before, but I genuinely believe that Buckles was one of the best heifers I have ever shown, and I felt that in the drive. When I was picked Supreme,
my mouth just dropped open and I said, “Oh my gosh.” A wave of emotions hit me like a Mac Truck and I didn’t know what to do besides smile and cry. Again, I hugged my family and crew all over again and we just celebrated. The reality is, these moments may never happen again and I recognize
that. That is why it was so important to just enjoy it as it all happens. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities that showing has given me. I could not be more thankful for Buckles. These memories are really something special and I will cherish them for a lifetime. ●
