Moore family. Others that serve as mentors and continually teach and support me include: Baylor Bonham, Kaid Reininger, Noah Holm, Travis Otterstad, Tyler “Lil Bob” Overby, dad’s right hand man David Young, the “Clark Girls”, Wynne brothers and Laney Lawson. These people have made a tremendous impact on my life and afforded me opportunities so many young people may never get to experience and for that I am forever grateful that they are a part of my life. While the success I’ve experienced in the past 5 months in the showring and on the baseball diamond have been nothing short of incredible, I think it’s important to continually push yourself and set new goals. I’ve worked beside my dad long enough to know that it’s not an easy task to win livestock shows, let alone major shows, but I have set my sights on
one day repeating the success I’ve seen thus far with either myself or my brother at the end of the halter. There is something a little extra special about getting to take that “Limo Ride” at OYE that I would encourage youth showing in every species in Oklahoma to put that on their goal list! I’ve recently started livestock judging and if any of you had the chance to tune in to the live broadcast during the OYE steer show you know I am not shy with words, so success in the judging arena has been added to that list of goals, as well as continuing to focus on my baseball career. It’s been a very fun and rewarding ride thus far in the showring and I am thankful for the team I have and for the Showtimes for letting me share a little about myself and my accomplishments. •
