Walking onto those green shavings down in Freedom Hall with Archie was a feeling like none other. I was so fortunate to be able to have the best crew to get Archie ready for show day and it surely showed. I’d like to shout out all of our fitters and clippers and everyone behind the scenes at each and every show, as there are never enough thank you’s that get handed out. Exhibiting the Reserve Market Steer at the 2022 NAILE will forever go down as the best moment in my show career! This win was extra special since it was my last steer show as a junior exhibitor. I was also grateful to have my family, The May Family, The Danker Family, The Caldwell Crew and the 3R Crew present in Louisville to experience the win! I would like to especially thank my family: My mom for always supporting my crazy hobbies and being the best show mom there is.
My sister Lacey for the endless help in the barn and always being by my side. Jamie Goedken for always giving the best advice. The whole May crew for allowing us this opportunity and always providing us with their top tier expertise. The 3R and Caldwell crews for all their help, guidance and support. The Danker Family for raising such a creature. And to all the rest of my family and friends for being the best support system out there. I always will be thankful for the people that I had present for my win, but no one had the best seat for the show other than my Dad and Grandpa in heaven. I would like to tell any exhibitor that is reading this to always follow their dreams and stay true to your goals with hard work and dedication, the end result is always worth it! This is truly a memory I will remember forever! ■
