My name is Morgan Winn, and I am a junior at Lake Creek High School. I have been actively showing livestock for eight years, beginning at the age of eight. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of raising and showing more than 30 steers, achieving several notable accomplishments. These include Champion ABC Steer at the 2020 San Antonio Livestock Show, Reserve Brahman at San Antonio in 2025, and back‑to‑back Champion Brahman at both the San Antonio Livestock Show and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2026. I particularly enjoy showing American breeds because their personalities and mine are so similar. Working with them requires patience, time in the
barn, perseverance, and consistent effort day in and day out. Livestock showing has been an invaluable experience, teaching me discipline, responsibility, and perseverance. In addition to being a part of my FFA chapter, I am an athlete and a member of my school’s softball and basketball teams. I was proud to be part of our 2025 softball team that finished the season undefeated and captured the state championship. Livestock showing has become somewhat of a family legacy. My older sister, Shelby, earned a Champion Brahman in 2018 in San Antonio and a Champion Santa Gertrudis four years later at HLSR, and my younger sister, Blaine, is beginning her journey
with steers and pigs. It is important to me to set an example and uphold a high standard for my family. My early experiences in 4‑H and Junior FFA helped lay the foundation for my commitment to leadership, teamwork, and community involvement. I have also developed a passion for floral design through my high school agriculture classes, which has become a peaceful and grounding outlet amid the demands of my other responsibilities. I am passionate about continuing to grow in agriculture, leadership, and creative pursuits, and I strive to inspire others through my work in the livestock industry and beyond. ●
