next year, I campaigned a Fame x Lizzo from RJ. She went on to be Supreme Heifer at AkSarBen and Champion Maine Angus in the Junior and Open Shows at the American Royal. Last summer, I ended up 3rd Overall at SD State Fair with a Bankroll x Lizzo Percentage Simmental also from RJ and Boyert. This heifer also went on to be Supreme at AkSarBen last fall. Like my Dad and Grandpa Dale, my heart truly lies in the Simmental breed, and I’ve also been fortunate with a successful run at Simmental Junior Nationals through the years. In addition to the cattle, I really enjoy the contest portion at Simmis and have rung the Overall Sweepstakes Bell in both 2024 and 2026. I was also honored to be Champion Intermediate Showman this summer in Grand Island. I tell this history to lay out the road to my State Fair victory this summer. It’s been years in the making, and I’ve been blessed beyond measure with the livestock and more importantly, the people that have helped and mentored me along the way. My parents Scott and Ashley really push my sister and I, and although some days it seems like a lot, I’m very grateful that they’ve shown us the value of hard work and family time. My Dad has taught me how to select and evaluate livestock and my Mom is always in my corner with showmanship tips, a big hug, and lots of prayers. My little sister
