My name is Brigham Reimann. I am 14 years old and a freshman at Miller high school. I live on my family’s ranch near Ree Heights, SD. Our ranch consists of commercial and Maine-influenced cattle, a feedlot and crop production. We have a steer and heifer sale every September. I have been showing livestock since I was 9 years old. I started with pigs and goats, but have focused primarily on cattle for the past 3 years. The best part of showing is meeting new people, supporting my friends in the industry and seeing my calves progress. This September I was fortunate to win Grand Champion Market beef

with my steer, Kramer. Kramer was raised by Britt and Courtney Unger of Unger Show cattle in Yuma, Colorado. He is a How Great Thou Art X Here I Am. Kramer was the Champion prospect market beef at the Cheyenne Livestock Expo. It was neat to see him be successful as a calf and now as a finished steer. The funniest thing about Kramer is his big appetite and his need to chew on everything, especially show halters. Winning the 2026 South Dakota State Fair Market steer show means the world to me. My dad has always emphasized the importance of hard work and it feels good to know that all of my hard work and early mornings and late nights in the show barn were

worthwhile. I think my uncle, Nick Reimann would be proud too. I’m honored to be gifted the use of his memorial trailer this year. At home I have the best support team including my parents, Barry and Jill Reimann, my sister Emersyn, my grandparents, Kent and Nora and our entire ranch family-Chance Wimmer, Jimmy Tibbits, John and Martell Fortin, Gavin and Rachel Osvog, Andre Krueger and Tanner Hircock. Words can’t describe how proud I am of my accomplishments this year and I can’t wait to start looking at steers for next year. ●
