McKlay Gensini and her parents Joe and Kerry along with her brother Kade, reside in Hennepin IL. McKlay is a 16-year- old sophomore at St Bede Academy. When she’s not at home in the show barn, she enjoys volleyball and softball. McKlay loves the lake life and just hanging with her friends in her spare time. Life just got way better for her when she turned 16 and got her driver’s license! McKlay has been showing cattle for 7 years. She’s achieved plenty of success in the show ring with her heifers over the years. Most notably showing 3 Junior Nationals Maine Anjou Grand Champion heifers in a row. This past year started her show steer career with “Badger”. McKlay thinks showing show

steers is something she’d like to do more of in the future. McKlay has also shown pigs and sheep at the county fair level in the past. She enjoys going to the shows and hanging out with friends. Getting the chance to travel the country showing cattle has offered her countless opportunities to meet and make friends all over. McKlay is undecided on what she’d like to study in college. In the meantime, she is looking forward to showing cattle at the fall major shows such as Louisville, Oklahoma City and Denver. Lastly, she’d like to thank everyone that has helped along the way with making her first years of showing so successful and fun! ●
