Mr. Udell and Mr. Meyer came toward me, slapped her back, and shook my hand, I couldn’t help but let all my emotions out. Everything we had worked for—from being literally knocked down my first time in the ring to being selected Supreme Champion Heifer at my first Ohio State Fair, and everything in between—it all hit me at once. I know I am only 10 and have a lot of life to live and lessons to learn, but that is one feeling I will absolutely never forget. God has blessed me and my family so much, and we are beyond grateful. I thank Jesus every day for helping me be strong and courageous and for getting me back into that ring. Raya may be finished and turned out to pasture, but I am just getting started. ●
