to 2 hole the Fullblood shows the following year in Fort Worth and the rest is history. Fullbloods were a dying breed amid a changing breed and was seen as an afterthought till 2023 when I was able to show TLLC Sassy Sophia “Unicorn”. From winning Cattleman’s Congress and Fort Worth to leading into junior nationals there wasn’t an animal to this date that has made more of a difference for me than her. Feeling crazy leading her into the ring for the Bred and Owned High Maine show I would have never thought the outcome was going to come my way in the end, but when it came to Showtimes hall of famer Ryan Rathman he thought otherwise and selected her to be Reserve Grand Champion Bred and Owned High Maine Female. From that day forward my thinking has changed, they aren’t thought of as fullbloods anymore but an outlet for my family and I in the Maine breed to be different. The one thing that I do is be different, being different has led me into situations that many could never guess and one of those is showing red and white Maines and resurrecting what was once and after thought in many people’s minds. I am more than grateful for the opportunity to exhibit some spectacular animals such as the heifer I was lucky enough to win the fullblood show with this year there is no sign of stopping in this breed with these cattle coming out of Creston, Iowa. The other part of junior nationals that holds a candle to the competitive show side, are the contests and that happens to be what I fell in love with. Before anything happens in the show ring there is mental warfare that happens between competitors and the judges in various contest no matter which junior nationals you are going to exhibit at. I have been lucky enough to win 4 Chianina, 8 Maines, and never got lucky enough I win a Simmental all-around championship in my days showing, but they mean a ton to me and especially my family

with all the effort that goes into writing speeches and practicing my beloved sales talks. It is a side quest from the showing that just so happens to be something I discovered that I was good at first. Not only have the cattle influenced me in my life but there is abundance of people that stand out in a large pool to make me the outgoing talkative and most friendly person that I aspire to be today. The first of many are the ones who made me, I never would have been lucky enough to achieve what I have in life without the two people that have stood behind me the whole time. From doing all the
contests and being the All-Around Champion, to filling out scholarships and saying yes to every single far- fetched idea I have. My parents mean more to me than anything else that has come into this wonderful world that I am lucky enough to call mine. My friends deal with more than I am willing to give them credit for and there is no saying how manic I may be at certain points of my life with running my crazy ideas past them first. I also want to give a large thanks to bringing me back to my goat roots to people that are no strangers to The Showtimes with the people at Blue Team Wethers and Jake Richardson for showing me a whole other side of
