FIVE WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE JUDGING MOMENTS? I’ve have had several very special moments with young people that I cherish but, the most memorable judging experience for me would be the Grand Champion Steer drive at the Houston Livestock Show. SIX FAMILIES MAKE SACRIFICES ALL SUMMER TO TRY TO WIN THE STATE FAIR. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE ABLE TO JUDGE THEM IN OHIO? We are involved in showing in the summertime, so I am very aware of the commitment it takes to prepare an animal for an August show. It’s a full-time job with very long hours! It may not feel like it at the time, but the hours spent in the barn with livestock and family will pay huge dividends in the future. SEVEN WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF JUDGING? Interacting with the young people and I enjoy evaluating good cattle.
