y name is Alyssa Meier, and I’m from Clinton, Tennessee. This summer has been one for the books filled with grit, gratitude, and goals met through hard work. From winning Champion % Charolais Heifer at Charolais Jr nationals to placing 3rd Overall Shorthorn Plus with Peaches, and being reserve overall showman and Red Angus Jr. nationals and 4th at Charolais and Shorthorn. Every moment has been the result of hours in the barn, miles
heifers, but will always cherish having him in my corner and my sister Annie Meier thanks for keeping me level headed most days being in the show barn is way better than just being there with Andrew, and my parents, Lydell and Holly Meier, have been my foundation. My dad, especially, has pushed me to be the greatest I can be. His drive and belief in me have shaped who I am, both in and out of the ring. Even though you may love cattle more than your own kids most days we appreciate you more than anything. “Do what you love, love what you do” is one thing I will always wake up to everyday and believe. My mom is one of the hardest working women I know, thanks for every little thing. Knowing a show mom might be one of the most stressful things, you do it with ease while still owning and running a business. And certainly my papaw John Gamble thanks for being the dirt and foundation of our operation thanks for letting me grow up in an industry that no matter what crazy things go on in our world, I can always fall back on. No way in the world would showing cattle all over the country be possible or let alone having them. This summer was more than just banners and plaque; it was a season of growth, challenge, and pride. I’m thankful for the journey, the wins, and the people who stood beside me through it all. Here's to the work behind the shine, and to chasing even bigger dreams ahead. ●
on the road, and a whole lot of passion. Showing cattle in the summer isn’t always easy. The heat, the early mornings, the late nights, and the emotional ups and downs that come with every show can take a toll. Balancing all of that with playing college volleyball has stretched me in ways I never imagined. There are sacrifices, missed hangouts, little sleep, and nonstop schedules but the reward of seeing it all come together in the ring makes it worth every second. I wouldn’t be where I am without my incredible support system. My brother Andrew Meier even though we spend more time arguing about who works harder than working
