Youth Expo. Most recently, she was named Grand Champion Purebred Simmental at the 2025 AJSA National Classic—an accomplishment that meant a great deal to me, my family, and everyone else that helps out at home or at shows for Pembrook Cattle Company. This win won’t be forgotten. We spent the entire summer working hard to prepare for junior nationals. Even though we knew we had a good one to lead into the ring, you never really know how things will unfold. When the final slap came down, it was an incredible feeling to see all that work, time, and dedication pay off in such a big way. I’m beyond grateful to my parents for everything they do for Bryson and I. I
owe them all of the “thank yous” in the world. They are amazing parents and amazing people who care deeply about everyone they meet, and none of this would be possible without their constant support and the years of blood, sweat, and tears they put into building our program. I also want to thank our herdsman, Derrick Wood. Derrick puts in countless hours and unmatched effort into our program and cares as much about these cattle as we do. He’s a special person to have as part of our operation. A huge “thank you” also goes to his wife, Rilee Wood, for everything she does to help Bryson and I—from making sure we’re ready to show to treating us like her own siblings. Her support
means a lot. I want to recognize our entire PCC crew, as well. Whether we’re at home or on the road, they are always there to help, encourage, and work alongside us. They’re great people and truly unlike any others in this industry. Lastly, I want to thank the Buck Creek Ranch and Circle M Farms crew for all of their help and support with BCR Rachel M123 as well. I’m looking forward to the rest of this heifer’s show career and seeing what she will accomplish as a donor cow here at PCC. No matter what comes next, I’ll always remember this season and the people who made it special. ●
