the bit older Effling girls as mentors and friends as well. Even all three of the Effling girls were little at some point and it wasn’t uncommon to find Danny and Luke chute side among others wearing out their knees or hauling them to a show. “When Daniel and Nick [Reimann] were kids showing, to helping with my older girls, to our girls helping their kids. I think that’s a neat thing about this area that people in other states don’t understand.” The friendship and history shared Kristi Effling reflects on how everything has come full circle. between the Fawcett, Doris and Effling families made the success in Denver all the sweeter. Over the past 20 years, it would not be rare to find these three families helping to mentor the other’s kids, chute side fitting/clipping or find them together in some other aspect as simply put, good friends. Over the years, they have had the ability to lean on not only each other, but tens if not hundreds of other family friends and workers.
Families are no strangers to success on a big stage - raising and/or exhibiting multiple National banner hangers. This all came to a head, however, this year in Denver as they collectively brought home 8 National Champion or Reserves from 2024 National Western Stock Show. Three Families living within 20 miles from each other – an unprecedented feat. While the Fawcett and Doris Families reside south of Ree Heights a short 5-minute drive apart, the Efflings live just 20 minutes up the road North of Highmore. “Although I don’t chat with Luke or Chris daily, it goes without saying that our families are a tight knit group that are always there for one another.” Daniel Fawcett stated. It’s not uncommon to find the Doris kids court side cheering on the Effling girls or the Effling girls helping watch the younger Doris kids when needed. Hollis and Ivy consider Croix and Cannon some of their best friends. All whom which look up to
