proving that the Boyer family and my dad were not the only ones who felt like Willie was very special. I am so grateful to everyone who realized that Willie truly was an extraordinary creature. I am from Aledo, Texas which is a small town west of Fort Worth. I am a sophomore at Aledo High School where I play on the varsity golf team and am a member of our FFA chapter. Outside of school I am involved in my church youth group. I also enjoy working with my steers, playing golf, and spending time with my friends. These activities keep me very busy so being able to care for and prepare my cattle to be their very best is a group effort. I would not be able to achieve the success I hope to continue to obtain without the help of an incredibly talented team. My team includes my family and others who
have become like family to me. There are too many people to thank, but I want to let everyone know how much I appreciate their prayers, help, and support. I am thankful to my dad for introducing me to livestock showing. It has changed my life, brought amazing people into my life, and exposed me to experiences I would have otherwise never known. Thank you to Brock and Krissa Welshans for teaching and encouraging me. You have both become like family to me. Thank you to Kassidy Bremer for your help before and during the American Royal. Thank you to Judge Dave Duello for choosing Willie as Grand Champion Market Steer. Finally, thank you to the Patterson Family Foundation for purchasing Willie. Your generosity and heart for charity is truly inspiring to me. •
