These are the words my dad says to me every time I get ready to enter a show ring.
My name is Jett Moore and this year at the American Royal in Kansas City, that is exactly what I aimed to do. During the course of that amazing day, my steer Willie won his class, then his division, and ultimately, he was named Grand Champion Market Steer. This is a dream come true for me and the result of lots of hard work and answered prayers.
Willie’s road to Kansas City began on a cold winter night when he was born to Dave and Dee Dee Boyer. He was allowed into the mudroom of their home that night because they felt like there was something special about him. The Boyer family raised him until he was sold to Nelson England and Brock Welshans. My dad saw Willie and knew he had what it takes to become an award-winning show steer. We purchased Willie and began working with and preparing him for the
show ring. Willie was a joy to work with. He had a sweet nature and seemed to know that he was something special. I showed Willie three times during our time together and we made the backdrop each time,
