Red Angus Announces Plans for 2022 National Red Angus Show. DENVER – The Red Angus Association of America board of directors voted to hold the 2022 National Red Angus Open and Pen Shows at the Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City. This decision comes at the recommendation of the RAAA Show & Sale Committee after soliciting significant feedback from Red Angus exhibitors and breeders. A regional junior show will also be hosted in Oklahoma City. Similarly, a regional junior, pen and open show will be hosted at the National Western Stock Show moving forward. Platt City, MO - April 13, 2021 - The American Chianina Association Board of Directors met for its spring meeting last week. Among discussion were plans for events in January 2022 pertaining to the Cattlemen’s Congress and the National Western Stock Show. The ACA board of directors approved the Cattlemen’s Congress and the National Western Stock Show as American Chianina Association All-American Pint Shows for both the open and junior Chianina and Chiangus shows. The American Chianina Association -C- The Difference National Sale will continue to be held at the Cattlemen’s Congress. Actual event dates have not been deteremined by each venue, but once both shows have confirmed actual show dates and schedules, the ACA will share this information with the membership.

The American Maine-Anjou Association (AMAA) Board of Directors met on April 14, via zoom, for a special congerence call to discuss association plans for 2022. By board vote, the following decision were made: - The AMAA will add the 2022 Cattlemen’s Congress to the AMAA’s national shows designation. The shows included in this designation are American Royal, Kansas City, Mo., North American international Livestock Expo, Louisville, Ky., Cattlemen’s Congress, Oklahoma City, Okla., National Western Stock Show, Denver, Colo. and Fort Worth Stock Show, Fort Worth, Texas. - Pen shows will be offered at both the Cattlemen’s Congress and National Western Stock Show. Junior and Open Shows are offered at all national shows. - The 2022 Bright Lights Maine-Anjou Sale will be held in conjunction with the Cattlemen’s Congress, Oklahoma City, Okla.
