“Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all surround yourself with those who see greatness within you”-Unknown Hi, my name is Reign Scasta , I’m 13 years old and live in Madill, Oklahoma. I am the son of Matt Scasta and Tabitha Rushing and have a younger brother, Cutter, that shows Hereford heifers. In the last 5 months I have been fortunate to have exhibited the 2021 Grand Champion Market Steer at the Oklahoma Youth Expo that I called Brian after AC/DC’s lead singer, and the Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer at the 2020 Tulsa State Fair that I called Tito. Both steers were sired by the fan favorite bull known as In God We Trust. When I’m not in the show barn I can be found on the baseball field where I play select baseball, for a travel team called the Southwest Canes based out of Prosper, Texas. Similar to showing cattle, my baseball team travels all

over the U.S. playing top notch teams and I have been very fortunate to be a part of a very successful team winning multiple tournament championships. My dad has always told my brother and I that if you surround yourself with good people and a good team you will go far in life and success will be inevitable. My dad has been the herdsman for Buck Cattle Company for a long time, too long to share without embarrassing him about his age! Jirl, Brenda and Bailey have been a huge part of my family’s life and longtime supporters and encouragers of Cutter and I’s show careers. Being part of the Buck Cattle Company team means that Cutter and I not only have the support of the Buck family, but with that, we gain the support of Buck Cattle customers and their families as well and this is something we will forever be grateful for. Cutter and I learned at a young age that there truly is no business like showbusiness because family and teamwork rank

above all in this business! Even at the young age of 13, I recognize that the world is a crazy place right now and that the ag industry is under constant threat, more so in some states than others, but one thing remains true throughout our industry and that is that you’d be hard pressed to find a better, more genuine, hard working group of people than those in the ag industry. My brother and I are proud to be a part of the cattle business and quickly recognize that some of our best friends and biggest supporters in every aspect of our lives come from within this industry. While this list could fill the entire magazine, some of the people I would like to send a special thank you to that have played a large role in my success and supported me thus far in my showing career include: my parents, grandparents, the entire Buck and Bonham families and crews, Jeremy Clark and family and the entire
