really good partners that allowed the kids to show females out of some of the most dominant cow families in the Simmental breed. Since Morgan and AK have aged out of the American Junior Simmental Association, Keith and Lindsay’s children, Josie and Wyatt have taken over the showing and have had tremendous success. As it stands today, Chan and Tonya still work with Circle M Farms and manage the farm in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Missouri wasn’t really in the plan until their grandson, Beau Wallace was born; now they live roughly 12 miles from Beau and his parents, Sam and Morgan. Chan and Craig are never not looking for the next great one to add to the herd or show string. Craig has provided many opportunities for not only Chan and Tonya, but the Phillips family as a whole. Keith and his family operate Rocking P and raise embryo calves for Circle M and Red River Farms, where Chan’s son, AK is the General Manager. Rocking P and Circle M both market cattle through Red River’s Ladies of the Lonestar each fall. All 3 operations market bulls through the Paternal Power Bull Sale in Kentucky each spring. Chan considers himself blessed in so many ways. Not many people get to do what they love everyday, especially with people that mean so much to them. Chan is especially thankful for the opportunity to do all of this with his family, even though they may not all live a couple miles apart like they once did. Whether it be Rocking P, Circle M, Red River or Wallace Cattle Company, if you’ve got a Phillips involved you get the whole family—they’re a pretty tight knit group. Chan looks forward for what is to come for his family as we enter the winter show season and looks forward to seeing friends along the way. ■
