March/April 2023 Sire Edition

LOGAN JACKSON As a mentor, I have had the privilege of watching Hayden accomplish incredible things from inside and out of the ring. Everyone's journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. However, there are a few key principles that have given Hayden the opportunity to excel. Those include a work ethic unlike any of his peers, a strong grasp on setting and work towards achieving his goals, the will to never give up, and last but not least, a family who’s drive and ambition is just as strong as his. Hayden has something remarkable that is unreachable, a deep passion and yearning to always push himself harder. Whether it's a love for that coveted handshake, a desire to help others, or an interest in his family’s operation, his passion is fueled by his drive to succeed. Hayden, thank you for letting me be a small part of what you have accomplished. I look forward to continuing to cheer you on in all your future endeavors.

CHAD WALKER It’s hard to master one species, much less master two. I started working with Hayden Schroeder and his family in 2015. He was a goat kid that was hungry, wanting to just try and win a class. Looking back at it, I would have never thought that that skinny little boy would go on to win all the major goat shows and almost all the major sheep shows in the country. I would have never thought that that he would win the Kansas City goat show that many times in a row. Working with Hayden has been enjoyable most of the time. It was a learning process for everybody. We learned how to win, and we learned how to be humble when we did find success. Through the entire process, he kept setting goals and breaking records. One of the coolest things about Hayden is he always wanted to know why we picked this animal and not the other. Him being very opinionated we got in some pretty in-depth conversations about livestock. I enjoy talking thru stock with him on the weekly and hope he keeps asking questions and improving his eye in the future. I’m sad he is done showing but I know his future in the livestock world is not over!!
