and Sophomore Agricultural Student awards at Casper College. Kaley was selected to the Junior Board of Directors for the National Junior Swine Association, served as an intern for Wyoming Pork Producers Council and an intern with Centennial Cuts, a family-owned beef company in Colorado. She was a delegate to the International Livestock Congress at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and served as an intern with the State Fair of Texas. She has been a member of successful livestock judging teams at both Texas A&M and Casper College and the Meat Animal Evaluation Team at Texas A&M. She will complete a degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism next May and then plans to pursue a Master’s in Agricultural Media at West Texas A&M. Her career goal is to work for an agricultural publication as an advocate for agriculture. Ashlyn Robinson University of Nebraska Ashlyn grew up in rural Nebraska as a 5th generation cattle producer on her family’s purebred Angus
operation. She is a Krutsinger Beef Industry Scholar and a member of the University of Nebraska Block and Bridle Club as well as the Young Nebraska Cattlemen’s organization. She attended Hutcheson Community College prior to Nebraska where she was involved with Block and Bridle and Hutcheson College Select Cattle Sale. Ashlyn has held internships with Weber Law Firm in Grand Island, Nebraska, Best of the West Jackpot Show, Kolt Cattle Company and Partner- Up Rodeo. Her volunteer activities include Kimmel Orchard, American Red Cross, Lincoln County Nebraska 4-H and Emanuel Lutheran Church. She has been a member of the livestock judging team at University of Nebraska where she finished in top 10 overall at Sioux Falls and Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic contests. She also judged at Hutcheson Community College and was a member of two- consecutive Nebraska State Champion 4-H Livestock Judging Teams. Ashlynn will graduate with an Agricultural Economics degree in May 2025 and plans to attend the Nebraska College of Law. Following
law school, she plans to return to Weber Law Firm and specialize in succession planning for agricultural families. Owen Rozeboom University of Minnesota Owen is involved with the University of Minnesota Student Government as a student senator, Alpha Gamma Pho fraternity, Vice President of Recruitment for Block and Bridle, Treasurer for Ag Business Club and Industry Relations Chair for the Crops and Soils Club. He has served as a Public Policy and Government Relations intern with Minnesota Farm Bureau, Chairman of Minnesota Junior Spring Classic and AGR North Star Showdown Steer and Heifer Shows and Co- chair of Block and Bridle Jackpot Swine Show. Owen was an active member of the National Junior Red Angus Association where he was named Senior Overall Sweepstakes Winner at the 2024 National Red Angus Youth Expo. He has been a student worker at swine and sheep units and the meat science laboratory at the University of Minnesota. Owen was third high individual at the All-
East Livestock and Meat Evaluation contest this past spring and overall high individual in judging at the National Red Angus Youth Expo this past summer. He is pursuing a double major in Animal Science and Political Science with hopes of pursuing either law school or a master’s degree in public policy to gain the legal and policy expertise to positively impact agriculture in his career. Kylie Schakel Kansas State University Kylie grew up in Indiana in a fourth-generation sheep farming family. At K-State, she is a College of Agriculture Ambassador recruiting for the Agricultural Leadership Program, serves as Vice President Tomorrow, Copy Editor for the K-State Purple Yearbook, and social media specialist for both the College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension. She was a communications intern with American Farm Bureau in Washington, D.C., communications and legislative intern with Illinois FFA Association and a communications of Development for Agricultural Communicators of
