or rebuild any of these.” JD lives a simple life, but he helped put things in perspective that day as to what should be our greatest treasure. Matthew 6:19-21 teaches us, 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Being materialistic is something so many of us are guilty of. I know I can be. Idolatry is one of those sins that feels like a bit of a grey area. Being rich is not a sin, but loving money above other things is. Believing that things will bring happiness is wrong. The Bible is full of scriptures about giving because God knew this would be something that we would struggle with. One of the first verses most of us learn is John 3:16, “16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God gave something so big that we can’t compare anything else to it. He showed us what true sacrifice was in order to save us from our sins. If you haven’t received this gift, please don’t wait. Invite Jesus into your heart, ask Him for forgiveness from your sins, and start living for Him today. If you have already accepted this gift, keep sharing it with others. ●

There was a sea of old vehicles, washing machines, lawnmowers and about anything you could possibly imagine. As he looked out across everything, he told us that he’s the richest man he knows. He said, “First, I know where I’m going when I die, and second, if my washing machine breaks, I can steal parts from
