TY DRACH
y name is Ty Drach and I’m from Pontiac, Illinois. I was honored to be named the High Individual at the 2020 American Royal 4-H livestock judging contest. I am a third generation seedstock producer and currently help run my family’s operation, Next Generation Farms. I enjoy helping my family in daily operations at home and attending many state and national shows. My passion for judging began as a freshman in high school. I was fortunate enough to have won the Illinois State 4-H livestock judging contest this summer. There are many mentors and great people that have given me the opportunity to grow and develop in something that I have a great passion for. Since my start in livestock judging, I’ve always dreamed of winning a national contest. Hearing my name called at the end of the day in Kansas City was a surreal feeling. I am currently a freshman

and member of the livestock judging team at Black Hawk College East Campus in Galva, Illinois. I plan to move on to a university to study animal nutrition and continue livestock judging. •
