Hi! My name is Abby Bell . I am 18 years old and a senior at Bristow High School in Bristow, Oklahoma. My parents Steven and Julie Bell, and my siblings Ruby Grace, Tate, and Hadlie and I own and operate Bell Cattle Co. We currently run around 450 head of purebred, composite and commercial cow/calf pairs. We have around 15 donor head of cows that we are currently harvesting. Our first donor was my first Charolais show heifer that I showed in 2014. My parents did not grow up in the show cattle industry and have grown our operation from the ground up. I’m proud to say that I have been involved in every aspect of growing our herd, improving the land, and creating operating processes. I believe this gives me a unique perspective; I know the hard work and dedication it requires to build a successful diversified cattle operation from scratch. This has given me a deep passion for the cattle industry that will never go away. “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:11. This year at the American Royal Livestock show in Kansas City, God showed my family and I in a huge way that his plan is ALWAYS better than ours! I had the extreme blessing of exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Steer. My steer, Chester, was a bit of a pistol to get broke and show and it was not always even in our plan for him to show in KC. But God proved to us that he knows best and prepared the road for us to be there! On show day Chester looked his best and showed like a champ! This win is very special to me and my family for so many reasons. Since this is my senior year, it makes the win even more special. Our family has worked very diligently over the years with the goal always in front of us to win a National market steer show and we are ecstatic that we got this win at the
