Dylan Miller, a 9-year-old from Galveston, Indiana, is the daughter of Drew and Ashlie Miller and has one younger sister, Layne. Dylan has been passionately showing cattle since she was 7 years old. Her early experiences in the show ring include her first significant competition at the Maine-Anjou Jr Nationals in Louisville, KY, with her heifer “Fancy” in 2022. Since then, Dylan's love for the livestock industry has grown immensely, and she enjoys traveling with her family across the country to participate in cattle shows. A highlight of her showing career was winning the Grand Overall MaineTainer Heifer title at the 2024 Maine-Anjou
Jr Nationals in Springfield, Missouri, with her heifer “Kiera.” Reflecting on her achievement, Dylan said, “I know winning something this big isn’t easy and I’m just so grateful, trying to take it all in.” She also adds, “Showing cattle for me isn’t just about winning, it’s also about meeting new people and making lifelong friends too.” This year marks Dylan’s first year in 4-H, and she is eagerly looking forward to showing at her state and county fair. Apart from her involvement in cattle showing, Dylan enjoys playing basketball, softball pitching and is actively involved in her school’s livestock judging team. ●
