August 2024 State Fair Edition

Hey everyone, I’m Hadley Hartman. My family and I have had a fun summer going to Jr. Nationals. I exhibited the Champion Red Angus Female at the North American Junior Red Angus Event (NAJRAE). I was also selected as the Champion Intermediate Showman. I think my heifer Zuri and I make a pretty good team, so it was exciting when we both won! I also enjoy playing softball. This year I had to make the decision to miss my softball tournament to be at Jr. Nationals. Winning the show made me feel a lot better about the choice I made!

I would like to thank Kash Wolf and Caleb Ellmore for all their help, and for always being there for me. Without their help we wouldn’t be able to do this. Thanks also to Steve Kruse for trimming my heifer’s feet, and everyone who helps fit at shows. Most importantly, I would like to thank my family. My Dad and Grandma for working on showmanship with me, and my mom for making sure I have everything I need. She keeps me looking my best. My Brother and Sister are my number 1 fans and are always ringside cheering me on. A special thank you to the NAJRAE. I have made lifelong friends at this show and I look forward to being there with them every summer! In the future I would like to pursue a career in the livestock industry, and I will try my hardest to achieve that. ●
