going back to the basics this summer and taking on a new challenge to find success, with or without a banner, it will be a result of teamwork, perseverance, determination and a whole lot of grit. Tlach’s barn sits on a hill just south of Des Moines. On a clear day, you can see the skyline of the city that led to
the ‘City View Farms’ name that has come to be recognized for the quality cattle that they raise and show. It just seemed fitting that the name of their farm reflected the view from the bench on the north end of the barn. The bench has come to be known as the place to problem solve and dream about what comes next in the journey. A simple heifer project that started
with a goal to raise kids around livestock and agriculture has become a family affair that keeps teaching the whole family lessons about life and making the best of it. Being humble and keeping goals at the forefront have allowed for success both in and out of the show ring for the Tlach family. ●
