TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND AND HOW IT IMPACTS YOUR CURRENT INVOLVEMENT? It’s wonderful to have a deep-rooted connection to agriculture and how showing livestock has positively influenced my life. My journey from growing up on a farm where my family has row crops and almond trees to becoming a judge at livestock shows and now running a custom farming business with my family is truly inspiring. ONE THE LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY IS CONSTANTLY EVOLVING. WHAT DIRECTION WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IT GO? There are several ways to look at this question and avenues you can go down when answering but, the livestock show industry and its relationship with social media, I feel is a current evolving discussion. Social media has indeed provided a platform to showcase the hard work, successes, and advancements in genetics within the livestock world. It’s great to see kids’ achievements being celebrated and shared widely, which can inspire others and promote interest in the industry. It can educate those apart of it as well as on the outside. Focusing on the kids and the positive impact on families is crucial for the continued success and growth of the livestock show industry. By prioritizing the educational and developmental benefits for the youth and
