these heifers I knew on show day I had to be on my A-game. On show day, I was very nervous. I got up at 4:00 am to be at the barn by 5:00 am that way we knew they would get full before showtime. The day ahead of me I knew would be busy with 3 heifers
gave me his nod that meant good luck. I took a deep breath and began leading her in the ring. His speech seemed like it was an hour long, and I cannot tell you one thing he said during it, the nerves were getting the best of me at that point. Then, finally
and doing just about anything for me. Kenzie Florry, the person who taught me how to ball a tail, thank you for being here for me since I was little and giving the best tail balling advice. Our stall dances were definitely and still are the best in the barn. Thank you, Seth Hammermeister,
to show but I did not know what God had in store for me on top of being busy. I was holding Jojo in the makeup ring feeling winning my division with Dot on the Chi side. The plan was to show Jojo in class and then run back to the Chi side to grab Dot like I was about to throw up after to show her in the drive. I was getting ready to take Jojo in the ring when Brandy told me the line, she always told me right
for always bringing the best laughs and one of the hardest workers in every room you step in to. Our barn mud fights, javelin throwing, and scratching wars will forever be some of my favorite memories. Thank you, Wyatt Malone, for spotting such an amazing heifer, Jojo, and telling Tony to go look at her. Thank you, Joe Sullivan, for raising Jojo. Thank you, Tim Schaeffer,

before going in the ring, “Have fun.” I took a deep breath and out with my breath went my nerves. After, I was placed first in my class, I look over to see my sister, Lillie, show Dot in the Overall. I understood that due to how close the two heifers showed we needed Lillie to step in. Even though I was not holding Dot when the official slap occurred, I still felt all the emotions that come with that gesture. I felt all the happiness and excitement that I would’ve felt if I was holding Dot. I won my division with Jojo and next up was the Grand Drive. I was super nervous because I knew how much Dr. Miller liked my heifer. I was leading my heifer to the gate when Brandy said, “Have fun,” and Tony
he is walking towards my heifer and slaps her to name her Grand Champion Maintainer. As he was slapping her, I got this wave of every great feeling emotion you could think of. I was excited, overjoyed, thankful, blessed, relieved, you name it I was most likely feeling it. However, the feeling that overpowered every other one is how thankful I was. I am extremely blessed to have so many loving and hardworking people in my life. Which includes Mckenzi Jordan, Travis Goodrum, Reese Hagan, Jarrod Hobbs and Bryden Barber. Thank you, AJ Rogers, for being at almost every show since the beginning to help my family and I,
for raising Dot and trusting me to show her. I’d like to thank my mom (Krista Skiles) for doing anything for me and allowing me to do the thing I love, show. Lastly, thank you so very much Tony and Brandy Jeffs for everything you have ever done for my family and I. I am very blessed to have you both in my life. Thank you can truly never be enough for how generous and loving you have been towards me. Words can’t even begin to describe how blessed I feel when I begin to think about every person that I have met while showing who have later either became forever friendships or nonblood family members. •
