Due to the Blue Ribbon Foundation’s years of work and fundraising, not only can we enjoy a beautiful, well maintained Fairgrounds, we will be able to do so for years to come as they have a long wish list of things they plan to improve moving forward. A list containing everything from building a new events area to more renovations throughout the fairgrounds. The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation is known for its accomplishments and creative approach. They also offer an endowment fund allowing for people to leave a legacy through a planned gift. •
Events during the Fair: • Selling Iowa State Fair Souvenirs (Lapel Pins, Shirts, etc.) • Bottled Water Sales • Iowan of the Day (Recognize 10 Iowans for Volunteering) • Bingo • Donor Hospitality & Entertainment • Legislative Event to show where appropriation dollars have been used. • Breakfast Clubs host their monthly meetings & the Executive Director speaks with them about the Foundation. Events throughout the year include: • Corndog Kickoff Benefit Auction & Fair Food Grazing Party • Halfway to the Fair Happy Hour Taylor explained how during the Iowa State Fair is their best time to showcase and show people what the Foundation is, what it does and the impact it has.
