something I’ll never be able to fully put into words. None of this would have been possible without my crew and my family. They have stood around since my Mini Hereford days, pushing me to be who I am, believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. They have supported me in all aspects of life, not just in the ring. They’ve become my family. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the sacrifices and support they’ve poured into me. My heifer being slapped on the green chips was a true “we did it” moment! It was a full circle reminder of everything that’s been poured into the industry. I couldn’t say thank you enough to them for standing by at the highs and lows. holds a huge place in my heart, the little girl in a big bow, couldn’t imagine this is where she is now, but at the end of the day, this is so much bigger than winning; but a reminder of why we do what we do. and this was one of those moments I will carry with me forever. My first trip to NAILE was exactly a decade ago. Looking back at pictures of a little girl in a big hair bow, standing in awe of the green shavings in Freedom Hall, I’m reminded just how much this industry has influenced my life, it’s shaped me in ways I couldn’t put words to. The livestock industry is so much deeper than winning a banner, it’s where I’ve found my people, my community, and a place I can always call home. Winning both the Junior and Open Show at NAILE was genuinely the coolest day of my life. To do it with my favorite heifer made it even more special.
