holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” The Bible is clear about what we are supposed to focus on. It just seems like with our busy lifestyles, other things can creep in and occupy our minds and hearts with things that don’t belong there. Just like a cluttered room, we only have so much space to hold everything in. What are you holding on to that you need to let go of? I can promise you, once you let it go, a burden will be lifted, and you’ll make room for better things. •
admiring how nice the empty, clean room looked, and decided what good things we could now use it for. Our spiritual lives can use a little Spring cleaning from time to time as well. Just like that room, clutter comes in slowly, with just one thing at a time. Pretty soon it can build up, and before we realize it, we have a big mess. We may be holding onto things like unforgiveness, anger, gossip, worry, or lies that we need to let go of, so something positive can replace it. All of these things create a heavy burden on us, that we don’t even realize we’re carrying at times. Paul writes in Colossians 3:12-15 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people,

he last few weekends have been hinting around at feeling like Spring here in Texas. We finally got a little bit of rain, and the green grass is trying to pop up. This has had us in the mood to get some projects done around our place that have needed to be done for a while. We cleaned an office in the shop that I thought would be a big project, but once we got into it, most of the stuff in there ended up in the dumpster. It was a great feeling. Once we were finished, we sat back
