Dalton and Jill, along with their children, are the next generation of Hartman Cattle Company. Hadley, Preston and Shaylee enjoy learning the innerworkings of the operation and have begun to pave their own path in the showring. With the next generation entering the showring, the family did not want to be in competition with their customers, thus their decision to exhibit Red Angus cattle. Hadley has had great success with the breed, participating in her first North American Jr. Red Angus Show at the age of 7 and now raising nationally competitive females out of her past show heifers. Brad and Erin’s children, Colby and Blake Sinclair, round out the family affair by continuing to make their mark in the showring as well as assisting with their family’s cow herd in Indiana. Upon completing a successful rodeo career and earning her degree, Katy and her husband Colt Keffer began to expand their own brand in Colorado by serving cattlemen with CK Sales and Marketing, LLC. “We want our kids and grandkids to enjoy the same experience we had as we grew up in the cattle industry. They have expressed their desire to show, and we feel it’s one of life’s greatest youth development projects, so we will support them, as we do all youth in agriculture”, explains Mike and Kay. Today, you will most often find Mike and Kay traveling across the country supporting their grandkids ringside and offering showmanship tips. At Hartman Cattle Company, dedication to their customers is the main goal. “We will continue to strive to produce the highest quality product for cattle producers across the nation and world-wide,” said Dalton. Hartman Cattle Company’s continued success is the result of a four-generation legacy and continued commitment in industry leading genetics and their loyal customers. •
