Ben Spencer, 14, lives on a farm out- side of Gibbon, Nebraska and has been around the livestock industry his whole life. His older siblings all showed cattle when they were growing up and Ben has followed in their footsteps, adding goats to the show string as well. The Spencer family raises Angus, Red Angus, Simmental, and Limousin cattle. Ben is homeschooled and tries to spend every spare moment of his day in the show barn working with his animals.
On Instagram you don’t really end up talking to people and I like being able to keep in touch with my friends from all over the country. I’m gonna go with “warm.” When I was younger, I used to love the cold and would still do chores in shorts even when it was snowing.

Mornings are terrible. I’m a night guy. I really like having a show project that I can turn around and use to contribute to my family’s purebred operation. I still complain about that one time that I drove with Dad to Louisville.
Anything but math.
