It is so cool seeing the different champions side by side. A feature that is only found in The Showtimes! We’re getting ready to head out to the State Fairs this August. We can’t wait to see everyone and cover some of our favorite shows of the year! We know what a big deal the State Fairs are and love covering them. We hope you enjoy our August issue.
There is nothing quite like a State Fair. There is something about showing your steer at State Fair that is different from a Spring Jackpot or even a National Show. For my family, there was always more on the line. When you show at most shows, if you lose you just pack up and head on to the next. If you lose your State Fair, it is big deal. Growing up in Colorado, if your steer placed in the top four or five in your class you qualified for the sale and had to sell. You couldn’t just head on to Aksarben or the American Royal if you had to sell. So much goes into raising a steer for State Fair. It takes months of hard work and sacrifice. It is always around 100 degrees, and a stressful time of year. When you win, it is always worth it. Now that my family is done showing steers at the Colorado State Fair, our big project every Summer is working on making our August State Fair Edition the best it can be. Not only is it our biggest issue, it is the one that people talk about. There are more ads, more features and more details than any other issue we work on. We strive to top each previous issue and bring you the latest graphics. We had a lot of fun putting together this issue! Inside you will find all of the latest ads and pasture sales!
