farm around 7,000 acres of dryland/irrigated crops, as well as 250 head of cows. My dad grew up learning from my grandpa about being involved in the livestock and agriculture industry. He showed steers at the local county fair and would occasionally compete at the Colorado State Fair. My mother grew up riding and rodeoing horses. She competed at the county fair and at the state fair a couple of times exhibiting her horses. Livestock and agriculture were always in my sister and I’s blood, so of course we were going to have a passion for this great industry. My family and I have been able to exhibit and win at the highest level, including wins at major jackpots, major stock shows, state fair, and county fair over the last couple of years. Some of my favorite wins have included winning the Colorado State Fair steer show back-to- back in 2024 and 2025; winning grand champion prospect steer at the Badger Brawl livestock show in Madison, Wisconsin in 2024; winning Grand prospect steer at the 2023 Kansas Beef expo; winning reserve Chi heifer at National Western stock show; Reserve Berkshire gilt at Arizona nationals in 2023; Reserve heavyweight crossbred barrow at the 2024 Arizona Nationals; and 10th overall crossbred gilt at Arizona as well. Not only were these special wins, but they hold some of the most cherished

memories for my family and I. I have been blessed with the best animals, family, and people who have allowed me to compete and win at the highest level. Firstly, I want to give all the glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If He had not blessed me with this journey in the livestock industry, none of this would have been possible. I firmly believe accepting Jesus as my personal savior has been the best decision I have ever made. I want to thank all the incredible people who have given me the chance to have the successful showing career God has blessed me with. It all started 15 years ago when we bought our first steer from Brian Fox in 2011. We bought bulls from Blind Badger Ranch before we started showing, which ultimately introduced us to Brian. Little did we know that meeting a person like Brian, who started it all, would turn into what it is today. Brian paved the way for our family's successful career, and he soon introduced us to some more special people who became family. Brian told my dad that some guy in Wisconsin was selling a herd of cows with some good genetics. Yes, that guy in Wisconsin was Mr. Shea Geffert. Ever since then, Shea and his wife, Krisha, have become more than just people we buy cattle from, but ultimately family for life. After a while, Shea, Brian, and Krisha introduced my family and I to more special people, Brandon Jones, Todd Caldwell, John

Choate, Jarrod Aruthur, and Tyler Atwood. These guys put a lot of hard work and faith in my family by giving us some elite show steers to exhibit over the years. I can not give enough gratitude for how much I appreciate each and every one of you. It would be very difficult to find a more talented group of people than all 5 of these guys. Thank you to Cole Ridnour and Levi Zwirn for always supporting my family and always helping us whenever you guys are able to. I appreciate you all! Thank you, Brian, Shea, and Krisha, for making something that started 15 years ago and turning it into what it is today! You 3 have been there from the start and have watched us grow and succeed while being our biggest supporters. None of this, truly none of this, would have happened if it were not for you guys. Being able to do it with special people who have become family is very special! You guys will truly never know how much you have impacted my family's life! I owe the biggest thanks to my parents, Tyson and Shonda King, and my sister, Joslyn. Being able to work with my family every day in an industry that we all have the same passion for is very special. My parents are some of the hardest- working people I know who would do anything for my sister and I. They are the reason I can do what I love at such a high level. They push me to try my

hardest and to be the best, even when I don’t think I am capable. They are my biggest supporters and are always there whenever I need them. I will forever be grateful for the family God has blessed me with. All the success my family and I have had would have never been done without working together as a family. I can firmly say that all the blood, sweat, and tears were very much worth it! As I have said before, the livestock industry has been one of the greatest blessings I have had. I won’t be able to show as a junior exhibitor anymore; however, by no means am I saying goodbye to the livestock industry. Continuing to give back and be a part of this industry will always be a passion for me. I am excited to start his new chapter in my life and see what opportunities God’s plan has for me within this industry. Lastly, thank you to The Showtimes/Reid family for always doing an amazing job of promoting

and supporting the livestock industry! ● KING FAMILY
