Hayden Hoffman lives on a ranch in Thedford, Nebraska with her parents (Jason and Kaycee) and two older siblings (Haxton and Kennedy). She is ten years old and loves everything involved with her family’s livelihood of ranching. Hayden equally enjoys riding horses and showing cattle. She has been involved with showing her whole life and finally got her turn to officially hit the show ring when she was 8 years old. WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SHOWING CATTLE? HOW DID GET INVOLVED IN SHOWING CATTLE? My dad got my siblings and I into it. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT SHOWING? I like showing Herefords and I enjoy washing and brushing them every day. OUTSIDE OF SHOWING, WHAT ARE SOME OTHER THINGS YOU LIKE TO DO? I like to rope, wrestle and play with my dog. TELL US ABOUT YOUR HEIFER. WHAT IS HER NAME/WHERE DID SHE COME FROM/WHAT ARE HER GENETICS? My heifers name Lavish Points, but we call her Kara. She came from Buck Cattle Co.. Her sire is Profit and that’s a bull we raised and her Dam is Kool Aid Points and she is one of the hottest cows in the breed right now. WHAT DID IT FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU WERE SELECTED GRAND CHAMPION HORNED FEMALE? WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO HAVE SUCCESS ALONGSIDE YOUR BROTHER AND FAMILY? It was really exciting and neat to be slapped Grand Champion. It means a lot to me to have success like my brother and sister. My favorite prize was the buckles they gave out.
