t has been an honor and a privilege to work with Huwa Cattle and Harold Miller over the past 7 years. Bluestem Embryo Transfer Center is very excited to be a part of the Huwa Cattle team and is proud of the work that we have done together to bring you this year’s sale offering. Huwa Cattle has come a long way in a relatively short time. This is a testament to the commitment, dedication, and tenacity that Tonya, Harold, their families, the Huwa Cattle crew, and cooperating herds have in building a very solid Angus herd through these difficult times. Huwa Cattle has been extremely aggressive in using genomics combined with traditional ET and newer IVF technology to raise the bar of their herd and expectations time and time again. Huwa Cattle has a set of donors that not only look good on paper, but also look good in the pen. They are cows that are great dispositioned, easy handling, extremely fertile, and above all functional. The impact of their donors and extensive ET program will be seen for years to come. One of the most exciting aspects for all of the team, but particularly for BETC and Vytelle teams, was the fact that Huwa Cattle registered 28 calves from 34 embryos from one IVF ET session born in the spring of 2020 - sired by two different bulls on the recently deceased 2902 donor cow. Her final IVF session just days prior to her passing yielded 15 # 1 embryos by the recent Vintage sale topper VAR Play Maker. The Huwa commitment to technology and “best of the best” reproduction allows for rapid genetic progress. Confidence. That is one thing that buyers should have when evaluating and purchasing this outstanding set of cattle. They will be there to support you in the good times and will work with you through any problems that arise. Huwas will stand behind the cattle that they are selling. I hope that producers will take advantage of the extensive ET program and the elite genetics offered at the Huwa Cattle Production Sale.
