t is with great excitement, anticipation, and God’s bless ings that we will be hosting our annual Huwa Cattle Bull Sale along with some adde d female lots again this year on January 26, 2021. 2020 has be proven to be a year of u ncertainty in our industry and around the world. The Covid pandemic, extreme droug ht and wildfire, and an election year like never-before, have forced us all to sacrifice and make changes that have been hard, but it has also brought many blessings within our faith and family but also a great opportunity in the beef industry. With a nationwide loc kdown we continue to prove that American agriculture is essential and that we continue t o provide the safest and highest quality food supply the world has ever known. Our indu stry is as resilient as it is vital and we consider it a privilege to play a role in it, and this year’s offering will continue to be industry changing. We feel this is our best group to date of powerful, funct ional, and a useful set of yearling and older bulls that we know will stand with any group you’ ll find for MULTI-TRAIT EXCELLENCE . As cattle producers and owners of Huwa Reserve, our ow n All-Natural Branded Beef program, we know the importance of also raising bulls with stron g carcass merit where we put a strong focus on marbling traits allowing all but one bull in the sale offering to meet Top $ Angus criteria and only nine miss the stringent criteria of .65 M arbling and $55 Grid for Targeting the Brand for enhancing CAB. This group of bulls as we ll as our female lots are also backed by strong “Cow Power” families giving us the ability to p ut a strong emphasis on producing herd sires and replacement females with high fertility, m aternal function, and structural correctness.
