The spotlight doesn’t always shine on the biggest stars. Many of times the people making the biggest impact are the ones working day and night to make sure other people find success and reach their full potential. Bruce Suddeth is one of those people. His entire life has been rooted in the livestock industry. More specifically, he has worked in the cattle business for about 40 years. Feeding and washing calves in Mineral Point, Wisconsin since he was 12 or 13 years old - when his family friend, Bob May, would go south looking for calves. Bruce has been a part of the family on County O ever since. Bruce, his wife Janie and their children, Reid and Regan, call the May Family their “Farm Family”. It is a strong bond that is evident to anyone who crosses their path. Bruce is the guy that has been a part

of so many kids' lives - so many showmen that have walked through the barns over the years. There have been countless miles traveled, and numerous preview shows, county fairs, state fairs, or national shows attended. He has been in many backdrop pictures - but more backdrop pictures he has not been in because he is not that guy that wants any recognition. He'd rather make sure that the calf looks just right for the photo. If he is in a backdrop picture, he is usually on the end and looking at the animal, not the camera. He's very humble, and very modest. At a show he can be found at the stalls getting the livestock ready, or ringside to support the kids. Bruce has been a part of so many great stories and has dedicated his life to contribute to the livestock industry that we all love. •
