Sept/Oct 2024 Fall Edition

H i! My name is Ty Bergh. I am 17 years old and a senior in high school from Florence, South Dakota. If you don’t find me in the show barn, I’ll be in the pasture or on the golf course. I have been involved in the cattle industry since I was born. I am the youngest boy of Ryan & Kim Bergh. I have 2 older brothers, Tate and Trevor. My family own and operate RBM Livestock where we run a seedstock operation, recip herd with a wean calf program, and a small back rounding yard. I also run a small herd of elite Hereford cows that I am working on building a foundation around. I have been showing cattle since I was 8 years old at the state and national level. One of my more memorable moments was in 2015 when my brother Tate won Grand Champion Market Steer at the South Dakota State Fair and my brother Trevor won Reserve Champion Market Steer. I was in the grand drive lineup also with my brother’s Limmi steer. From that moment on I knew I wanted to win the South Dakota State Fair Market Steer Show. This year was an amazing year! I exhibited the 2024 Grand Champion Market Steer at the South Dakota State Fair. My steer, Ben, is a How Great Thou Art x 760 Maternal Made. Bred by Ben Olsen and RJ. Sold by RJ Cattle Co. I would like to thank my family for giving me this great opportunity to be in the livestock industry which has taught me so much and surrounded me with such great people. A huge thank you to Ryan, Sam, and Rhett Johnson and the RJ Cattle Co. crew for not only being friends but family and supporting/helping me achieve my goals. ●
