With strong maternal credentials, functional phenotype, performance, and carcass merit represented in one package, Tohono offers breeders an opportunity to incorporate a versatile set of genetics into their programs. We are incredibly fortunate to share this journey with Colyer Herefords and JDS Herefords. The support, encouragement, phone calls, and friendships built along the way mean more than words can adequately express. Behind every accomplishment is a team, and ours stretches farther than we could ever count. Family, friends, and crew members have sacrificed early mornings, late nights, long days, and countless hours to make moments like these possible. They are more than a crew; they are family. As Tohono’s influence continues to grow, an exciting opportunity is now being made available. The Tohono ownership partners have elected to offer the remaining ¼ interest in this young National Champion Hereford Bull through the Hereford Eve at Mile High Sale in January 2027, held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show. With tremendous demand already established for his semen, his revenue potential and the possibilities for the next generation of Hereford champions are exciting to consider. This is an opportunity to invest in a bull whose accomplishments are already impressive, but whose greatest influence may still lie ahead. Tohono has reminded us that the greatest rewards in this business aren’t always measured in banners or championships. Sometimes, they are measured in the relationships built, the people brought together, and the memories made along the way. ●

Since then, Tohono has built an impressive show career, earning Champion Hereford Bull honors at the Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) in Billings, Montana, in both 2025 and 2026. His 2026 accomplishments also include National Champion Hereford Bull at the American Royal in Kansas City, Reserve Champion Polled Bull at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, and Reserve Division Polled Yearling Bull at Cattlemen’s Congress. For a bull whose show career began with a simple request to put a halter on him for a picture, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Beyond his own accomplishments, Tohono offers a maternal foundation worth recognizing. His young donor dam stems from a prolific line of maternal greats in the Colyer program. Her dam is a full sister to Belle Heir, one of the outstanding horned Hereford bulls of recent years. This depth of maternal heritage, combined with Tohono’s phenotype, genetic profile, and growing demand for his genetics, makes his future especially exciting. Tohono’s genetic profile further strengthens his appeal as a breeding prospect. His EPDs reflect a well-rounded combination of calving ease, growth, maternal strength,
