Leon Vick Vice President of Rodeo, Horse and Livestock Operations
After a 21- year career competing in professional rodeo, Leon joined the NWSS Staff in 2005. During his rodeo career he won championships
at Cheyenne Frontier Days and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and qualified for the National Finals Rodeo two times. Leon managed sponsorships for National Western before taking on rodeo production in 2013. In February of 2020, Leon was promoted to Vice President of Rodeo, Horse and Livestock Operations. One of Leon’s proudest accomplishments was tailoring the rodeo performances to an action-packed and crowd- pleasing time of 2 hours 5 minutes per show. Leon also signed Cinch Jeans & Shirts, which to this day is one of National Western’s most prominent partners. Leon and his wife, Taleen, hail from Byers, Colorado and have two adult children who both compete in rodeo.
Paul Andrews President and CEO, National Western Stock Show and Complex Paul Andrews oversees the business operations, staff and venue development for the National Western Stock Show, held every January. This annual 16-day agriculture, entertainment and educational event is deemed the super bowl of livestock shows and host to over 42 states and 34 counties in agricultural trade, sales and education. The non-profit 501©(3) provides over 100 scholarships each year to students in the fields of agriculture and rural medicine. Andrews and his team are poised for the future of the NW complex as it evolves into a global agricultural and event facility called the National Western Center. The new center will be a year-round celebration of agricultural education and the Western way of life. A graduate of the University of Wyoming, Andrews began his career with the Denver Nuggets. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the Executive Vice President overseeing KSE properties including the Pepsi Center, NBA Denver Nuggets, NHL Colorado Avalanche, NLL Colorado Mammoth lacrosse team and Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids. In 2010, Andrews was named President and CEO of the National Western Stock Show.
