and community leaders who have donated to the Supreme Scholarships. At the Grand Drive Event we highlight all of our market division champions and select a Top 5 in Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Hogs as well as our Top 3 Broilers. New this year, we plan to shine a spotlight on our breeding animals by selecting a Top 5 Supreme Breeding and also awarding Supreme Scholarships to our Top 3. This is an exciting way to truly recognize our breeding exhibitors and their accomplishments. We are continually posting important information on our facebook page "Aksarben Stock Show". What are you looking forward to the most with your new role as the Aksarben Stock Show Coordinator? Aksarben is near and dear to my heart. I have always known I wanted to work with youth in the livestock industry, and I am proud I get to do it now as the Aksarben Stock Show Coordinator. My duties include managing our challenge programs, social media, intern program, raising money for our Supreme Scholarships and more. It's exciting to come back to something that has meant so much to my family. It feels like a dream to be where I am now but in a different capacity than as a showman. Many of us want to stay involved and this is where I have found I belong.

What is your background in the livestock industry?

My first memory of showing was at the

Nebraska State Fair Open Show in Lincoln, Nebraska. I began showing cattle at 4 years old and have been in love with showing ever since. My family has been fortunate enough to have some Nebraska State Fair 4-H and FFA Market and Breeding Champions. Shorthorn steers were my bread and butter growing up. My family always tried to take one to Junior Nationals and the NAILE in Louisville, KY. This is what originally sparked my interest in being more involved with breed associations. In 2016-2017, I served as the National Shorthorn Lassie Queen. My family also became heavily involved in the Maine-Anjou and Chianina breeds. I also had the opportunity to serve on the Junior Maine-Anjou Board of Directors from 2018- 2020. My brother, Berren, continues to show. It is a bittersweet feeling knowing he will be done soon as well. He serves as the President of the National Chianina Junior Board of Directors. What new and exciting things are planned for the 2023 Aksarben Stock Show? The 2023 Aksarben Stock Show is going to be a great event! We are excited to continue The Grand Drive Reception and Event for our Market Show Champions. The reception allows all of our division champions to network with the businesses
