Nov/Dec 2022 Year End Edition

In 20 plus years of traveling with judging teams, I’ve had the good fortune to coach a number of very talented young people, but some just stick out! Krisha has always been an amazing talent, but her competitiveness is off the charts! She had such a passion to learn and you just knew someday she’d do big things in the livestock industry. Watching her in the ring is just fun! Her evaluation ability is outstanding, and her ability to communicate her thoughts to exhibitors and onlookers is both entertaining and always spot on. Most importantly, she does it with a level of honesty and conviction that has helped her break down barriers in what is still, unfortunately, a male dominated game. She’s a rockstar and I couldn’t be more proud to have played a role in her development! -Chris Mullinix (Krisha's Coach at Butler.)

Krisha is one of the most intelligent and greatest true livestock evaluators I have ever interacted with. No matter what species she brought a true stockpersons perspective to every contest when marking cards and giving reasons. She excelled in the reasons room and seldom was ever beat in any contest. She was a leader on the team and always pushed her teammates to reach their full potential. No matter if we were playing cards in the van, practicing in the classroom, or judging in a contest Krisha wanted to win. She is one of the most competitive and driven people I know. Krisha can judge any species at any show at any level and wow the exhibitors and the crowd with her placing prowess and oral description of the livestock on the microphone. I am most proud of the impact that Krisha has had on the youth that she has interacted with. Whether she has sold them a show pig or provided them consulting advice on how to feed and or fit their project she is someone exhibitors look up to. Krisha is a one-of-a-kind talented and gifted person, and I am humbled by the fact that I had the opportunity to work with her as a student at Colorado State University. - Dr. Brett Kaysen (Krisha's Coach at Colorado State University.)
