BRUSSEL SPROUTS CRISPY BACON
DIRECTIONS There are a ton of different ways to make this dish; in the air fryer, oven or on the stove. My Favorite way for a quick dinner side dish or special occasion is stove top pan fried. 1. In a large skillet over medium heat begin cooking bacon stirring often to break up the clumps. (If the bacon doesn’t render a lot of fat add 1 Tbsp. of oil to the bacon before adding Brussels) 2. Just before the bacon is completely cooked add the Brussel sprouts to the skillet. If using fresh Brussels add ¼ cup of water and cover to steam for 5 minutes. 3. Remove lid and continue to cook on medium high until the bacon is cooked through and the Brussels are caramelized and slightly crispy. 4. Drizzle the honey and balsamic vinegar over and stir in to distribute evenly. Salt and pepper to taste. 5. Continue to cook until the balsamic/ honey mixture has created a glaze over the brussels 3-4 minutes. 6. You can leave on low stirring often on the stove while you finish the rest of your meal or serve right way. Best served hot but I love the cold left overs the next day as a snack. •
