Winning Grand Champion Owned Female at the 2026 AIJCA Junior National Charolais Show is something I’ll never forget. It’s still hard to believe that my very first Charolais heifer could take me on a journey like this. Looking back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude—not just because of the banner hanging in my room, but because of the people, memories, and experiences that came along with it. I have been showing cattle for the past 11
years, and the livestock industry has shaped who I am in so many ways. I’ve been blessed to experience tremendous success over the years, but walking into my very first Charolais Junior Nationals felt different. I was stepping into a new breed, surrounded by exhibitors who had grown up showing Charolais. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to welcome me into the Charolais family. My journey with Nadia started last fall at the
Lafrentz Cattle Sale. My mom, dad, and I were sorting through the cattle when Nadia walked right up to us and licked my hand. My dad laughed and said, “Well girls, you better get the purple soap ready!” We all laughed, but looking back now, that was just the beginning of something very special. A week later, we bought her, and she’s been my girl ever since. Nadia has exceeded every expectation I had for her. More importantly, she introduced me to some of the most amazing people.
